Montefiascone, at 600 m above sea level, is the highest town in the Bolsena Lake area.

The town is known for the production of high quality DOC wines, among which the best known is Est! Est! Est! It isn’t a coincidence that one of the town's main events is the wine festival, which takes place every year in the first days of August.

Thanks also to its position, in fact, from the Rocca dei Papi you can admire a breathtaking view of the lake. Don’t miss the Renaissance Cathedral, which contains a crypt and a sacristy, both adorned with precious gold fittings.
